Carole R. Beal directs the AnimalWatch project.  She is Professor of Cognitive Science at The University of Arizona, and studies how technology-based learning can support and encourage K12 students to pursue STEM careers.

Jane Strohm focuses on developing AnimalWatch content, instructional strategies and professional development resources.  Before joining the project, she was an award-winning math and science teacher.  She recently completed her masters degree in Biology.  Her thesis research investigated learning in bumblebees.

Tom Hicks is a senior research programmer focusing on the "back-end" database that runs the AnimalWatch software, and collects problem solving data used for analysis and evaluation.

William Mitchell is a senior research programmer focusing on the "front-end" interface that is used by students and teachers as they work with AnimalWatch.  He is also a popular instructor in the Computer Science Department.
